My Night Time Routine!

I thought I would share with you all my ‘night time’ beauty routine. I really can’t get to sleep if I don’t do this, going to bed with my make-up just feels oh-so wrong to me.

Firstly I use my Eve Lom Cleanser. I know, I know mineral water!! However I love this cleanser – I brought it mainly because I’ve heard so many amazing things about it and secondly because I wanted a cleanser that I felt would really cleanse my skin deep down. This cleanser comes with a bit of a routine – firstly I work this in to my skin in circular motions concentrating on my t-zone and my chin (this is wear i get the most build up), once I’ve done that i soak the muslin cloth into warm water and place the cloth over my face for 5-10 seconds i repeat this three times, as it opens up your pores and allows the cleanser to really work into your skin, I then wipe all of the cleanser of with the cloth again (my skin always feels amazing after I’ve done that) then I rinse the muslim cloth in cold water and place it over my face to close the pores.

Once i’ve cleansed my face I actually brush my teeth, but my second beauty product is my Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner (I’m on my last sprits – which is why the bottle looks empty in the picture). I love this toner it’s so refreshing and really does sooth your skin and gives you a radiant glow it’s also great to use as a cooling eye treatment, just soak a cotton pad and place over your eye for around 60 seconds and it’ll reduce puffiness and sooth any redness. This toner is ideal for delicate skin, as it’s alcohol free.

I then use my Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream – I love this, the aloe vera and witch hazel extract soothes and comforts while the jojoba seed, avocado oil and squalane condition and revive the skin. This eye cream just goes on so well I love it, my eyes always feel soft in the morning as well.

As a nighttime moisturiser I use the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. This is lovely and soothing and I always wake up with the softest most radient skin.

Lastly I moisturise my entire body with Laura Mercier’s ambre vanillé soufflé body crème, I go to bed feeling pampered!

My Midnight Recovery Concentrate and ambre vanillé soufflé body crème I keep on my bedside table as both of their packaging is so beautiful and luxurious.

I’ll share my morning routine with you very soon! Hope you enjoyed this.

Wednesday Wishlist: Accessories

I’ve seen so many lovely little things recently – which aren’t needed but I just want them so badly! I’ve wanted a new keyring for ages, as my wonder Aspinal of London keyring is getting old and all of the colour is starting to rub off. Which leads me to my first wish on my wishlist: This wonderful Anya Hindmarch Leather Tassel Key fob, it’s so pricey at £150 and completely unnecessary but I just love it.

Laura Mercier Body Crème Review!

I have a few go-to’s when it comes to moisturising my body, one is coconut oil which i get from Holland & Barret and also Bio-Oil – however i really wanted a thick luxurious creamy moisturiser and a lot of people rave about the Laura Mercier Boby Crème I’ve seen Tanya Burr use it a lot in her videos – anyway I went down to the counter in my local John Lewis store and completely and utterly fell in love with the ambre vanillé soufflé body crème the smell I really can’t describe its *takes another smell* sweet but the under tone of vanilla stops it being sickly. I really really urge everyone to go and smell this body crème at your nearest counter.

The smell also stays with you all day – I can put this on in the morning go to work travel on the tubes and when I’m back home again I can still smell it on myself it absorbes in to your skin wonderfully as well and my skin always fees soft after I’ve used it. This body Crème is full of vitamins A, C and E derivatives, in the crème grape seed and rice bran oil condition the skin while the vanilla extract and honey are full of soothing benefits.

Bobbi Brown Limited Edition – Telluride & Mini Haul!

I was planning on posting a second post today but i just couldn’t resist sharing a few things with you! So I saw this morning that Bobbi Brown have put together a limited edition set for John Lewis called – Telluride Glow Collection. Now this collection was £69.00 – a little pricey however compared to their Navy & Nude Eye Pallet which retails at £48.00 it’s really good value for money. I have a feeling this is going to sell out very quickly hence my rush to purchase it!

Within the set you get the Smokey Brown Eye Pallet which has colours: Bone, Blazing Star, Woodrose, Pink Copper, Heather Rose, Smokey Brown, a Telluride Illuminating Bronzing Powder, Blank Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, Bellini High Shimmer Lip Gloss and Black Extreme Party Mascara. I can not empathise enough what beautiful colours they all are. I brought this set because a) I’ve wanted the Long Wear Gel for a long time and b) all the colours seem perfect for summer and winter

What I also love about this collection is that it comes with a “Bobbi’s Tips & How-To’s’:

I really can’t recommend this collection enough it’s wonderful – all the colours are so beautiful as well and it’s really well priced.

While I was rushing to John Lewis to get my hands on this collection I also went to the Kiehl’s to purchase Midnight Recovery Concentrate, in 30ml for £36.00 as I’ve recently read so many blogs namely Dreaming in Blush by Elle Fowler and she recommended it, plus I love to try new products. I’ve also been in need of a good night time moisturiser, the sales assistance said that you can use this product alone at night or under your moisturiser. Anyway I can’t wait to use this product – I will also review it very soon!

My last Purchase is this beautiful cobalt blue Hi Low Hem Maxi Dress from Warehouse which I managed to grab in their sale for £20.00- this dress is the most flattering, because of the cross over it sits wonderfully over your stomach however you need to be careful with which pants you wear as the dress is a little see through at the back.

The best way to natural beauty?!

Since the week long heatwave that has hit London I’ve been drinking more and more water, I have around 2.5 litres a day which is slightly more then I’d usually drink. However I have noticed a difference in my skin.

Drinking plenty of water a day is an essential part of any beauty routine – by drinking water you flush out the toxins and eliminate dirt which clogs your pours giving you a healthy glow.

Drinking water also helps to tone your body and keep it tight. As your body naturally fills cells with water to make them firm and tight, water helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles as well as helping rid the appearance of cellulite and flabby skin.

Wednesday Wishlist: Boots

Last winter I couldn’t find a pair of boots that i actually wanted – with my former well loved Kurt Geiger’s falling apart I lived in pumps and had cold feet for the entire winter. So I decided to look early this year and I’ve spotted some absolutely lovely boots which i adore!

My favourites so far are these beautiful Acne Cypress Leather & Suede Boots. I love everything about these boots two different textures a nice heel, what’s not to love?! Well they come with a hefty price tag: £460.00!! Maybe I’ll save up, ahem.

Next in my ever oh slightly out of reach wishes is these lovely Marc by Marc Jacobs. These Classics Moto Leather Biker boots are my favourite flat boots i’ve seen in a long time and would look amazing with a pair of skinny jeans! These also come with a hefty price tag of £325.00!!

Lastly more reasonably priced but just as nice, these lovely Chelsea boots from H&M at £24.99

Macadamia Natural Oil Review

Since my hairdresser used the Macadamia Natural Oil products along with the Davines products she uses I was hooked.

My hair is fairly long, about mid-way down my back and incredibly thick. I also have a very sensitive scalp and I’m prone to itchy/red/sore head, if I use certain products which build up. So i was a little concerned about using these products as they’re very heavy. However I’m now on my third tub of the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque, which i actually use instead of a conditioner. This leaves my hair the softest it has ever been, and soothes the frizz which i’m prone to at the back of my head. Each 250ml tub will last me around 6 months – and i was my hair every other day.

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque

Another product which from the Macadamia range which I love is the shampoo, like the repair masque its incredibly soothing and soft on my scalp also. I’m on my second bottle of this!

On my latest purchase of the repair masque I also decided to purchase the No Tangle Brush, as my hair gets tangled all of the time, and i end up yanking my hair brush through my hair and to say the least it’s very uncomfortable! The idea of the No Tangle Brush is that the ‘flex bristle’ glides through your hair and diffuses knots and tangle, while preventing breakage and spilt ends – which results in healthier hair! I must confess i did think that this product was slightly gimmicky, but I’m completely sold it really works wonders!

Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Brush

These products are slightly pricey, but I really think they’re worth it. I’ve had a little look around and BeautyBay actually has all of these products on sale at the moment. If you want to test the Repair Masque, they actually sell saches for a couple of pounds. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Cetyl Palmitate, Behentrimonium Chloride, Fragrance (Parfum), Amodimethicone, Trideceth-12, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Sodium PCA, Dimethicone, Cetrimonium Chloride, Triethanolamine, Citric Acid, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Chlorphenesin, Sorbic Acid, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylproprional, Citronellol, Limonene, Yellow 6 (CI 15985), Yellow 5 (CI 19140), CI 14720.

Wednesday Wishlist

My wishlist this week is a bit of a mix. I’ve been browsing the web in a bid to find some summer clothes and i’m finding it incredibly hard to find clothes suitable for the summer that i like! However in the Anthropologie sale i did spot this amazing Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Odyssey Jacket. I’m a huge jacket lover and this i just think would be the perfect jacket for Autumn.

Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Odyssey Jacket £129.95

Also another perfect item for Autumn/Winter is this BEAUTIFUL Mulberry Willow Tote, I absolutely adore this colour and perfect with both black and brown shoes/boots.

Mulberry Willow Tote £1,500

Lastly is the Eve Lom Cleanser, I’ve been reading a lot about this cleanser and it has interested me for a while – Vogue named it the number one cleanser and its been Space NKs top seller for 15 years, and its always referred to as a cult favourite. I’ve been hesitant because it costs so much, but I think I’ll have to visit Liberty’s on my way home and purchase a pot.

Dior Make-up Review

Firstly after a rather poor attempt at blogging – I’m back. With a lot of beauty products to review and wish lists to share! I have been for the last 9 months or so been a dedicated Dior Nude Natural Glow Radiant Foundation user. This is truly one of the best foundations I’ve ever used. It’s really difficult for me to find the right foundation, if its too heavy then I’m prone to breakouts and oily skin – so it’s really important to me that i find one that suits my skin and Dior Nude is the best one I’ve found, it gives a brilliant coverage while being light and ‘natural’ on your skin. However I had never tried any of their other product, but while I was at the Dior counter recently I purchased a new blush, trio-eye shadow and a lip balm. Firstly please do not be put of by the colour of this blush, because it is scary but it looks amazing on! Dior Rosy Glow Blusher is really cleaver as it reacts with the moisture in the skin, so it gives a different ‘glow’ for different complexions. I really can’t rave about this product enough; it truly gives the most wonderful glow.

Dior Rosy Glow Blush

Secondly I purchased the most beautiful trio eye shadow compact called Dior Golden Jungle Collection 3 Couleurs Glow Eye Palette, in Ivory Glow. I’m not very adventures when it comes to my eyes – as they are very almond-y shaped and I’m always concerned the more eye make-up i apply the smaller they’ll look. However I couldn’t of been more wrong – the Dior adviser applied the make-up for me and the difference was incredible. This shadow stays on all day and looks fabulous.

Golden Jungle Collection 3 Couleurs Glow Eye Palette

Lastly I purchased Dior Addict Lip Glow, this is amazing and I can only describe it as the most personal lip balm/lip stick ever. Like the Rosy Glow, the balm brightens your natural colour. I find it just makes my lips a brighter version of what they are its also super moisturising.

Dior Addict Lip Glow

I really can’t recommend these three products enough, they all sit on your skin wonderfully and as an extra bonus the packaging is beautiful. They’ve all become part of my daily make-up!
If you’ve used these products or any similar please comment and tell me about them!
